2019 Annual Charity Challenge

In July 2019, a team of 20 from Red Mist Leisure, along with our friends and suppliers from Mozzo Coffee, 1st Call Tress, Carlsberg and The Wellington Estate, will be taking on 100km of the Jurassic Coast in 2.5 days, starting in Axminster and finishing up in Swanage.

This year we are raising money for two wonderful causes; The Meath Epilepsy Charity based in Godalming, and Only A Pavement Away, a charity which acts as a channel between employers in the hospitality industry and those charities/associations who support the homeless, ex-offenders and ex-service personnel reintegrate back into society.

Our previous Challenges

Starting in 2015, we had a 20-strong team who trained over the long winter months to run the Fleet Half Marathon in aid of Red Balloon and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care where we raised £5,500. Then in 2016, 4 teams of 10 completed the Red Mist Ramble; a 26.1 mile walk across the stunning, but gruelling, Surrey countryside to raise £7,000 for Challengers and Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

In 2017, 16 not-so-seasoned climbers took on the 3 highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales. We were thrilled to raise nearly £12,500 which was split evenly between the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance and Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity.

2018, saw 20 walkers take on the greatest and most gruelling challenge yet, which was to walk the 86 miles of Hadrian’s Wall in just 3 days (it would usually take 5 days) raising £22,000 for Piggles Trust, Cherry Trees UK and the RAF Benevolent Fund.

We would like to thank each and every person who has kindly sponsored us over the years, we couldn’t achieve this without you!

Networking Events

We host a monthly networking event at The Royal Exchange, helping to build the local business community and give insightful and motivating talks from a huge variety of fascinating guest speakers while raising money for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance.

Red Mist Ale

Since 2014, we have been offering our own recipe Red Mist ale at all of our pubs and 10p of every pint sold is donated to that pub’s local charity, on average, raising over £400 a month!

Prize Donations

Helping local fundraising events for schools and charities is a big part of our charitable support; we donate many meal vouchers and bottles of bubbles as raffle prizes throughout the year.

To find out more about our support of local charities or to request a donation, please do get in touch (and provide as much information about the event and what you’re raising money for) at info@redmistleisure.co.uk
